I made it through Virtue of Selfishness in HS. Truly bad version of “philosophy” obvious to me even at that age. Tried her novels & never made it past p. 50. Deadest, dullest, driest prose in any kind of English. Concluded only soulless mental defectives could fall for that dreck.

There was a moment when everyone I knew was reading The Fountainhead and passing it around. I read several of her books and found it cold and off putting. Basically, selfishness is a virtue. Yuck.
