I wonder how the data looks IF they would adjust for the size of the package things are coming in. We are paying more per unit on all items.

My favorite packaged goods tomfoolery has been frozen pizzas and Haagen Daaz keeping the same size containers whilst shrinking the contents. Haagen Daaz cleverly lifted the bottom of the container whilst also increasing price. FRED data adjusts for weight/ unit already - I assume BLS would too?
