What's the point of a tarriff if the prices don't increase? If prices don't increase there is no incentive to onshore production.

The foreign companies pay the tariffs, which cuts into their profits, and they can restore their profits by making their goods in the good ol' USA with American labor. All of which is nonsense, but that's the argument.
