That is awful. I don’t need to state the obvious, but I felt compelled to say something. I do not accept that people are basically good. I think good people are in the minority.

I hear you. I wrestle with this every day, including the very definition of "good". The longer I live the less clear become the lines between good/bad, right/ wrong, etc. The only constant seems to be truth & lies. If I begin to question that, I don't know where that will lead.
