One of the most pernicious delusions capitalism has spread throughout history is that the expert class have to be separate from the working class, who are (by definition) the cognitive underclass. Rosa Luxemburg always talked about bringing workers and science together. Experts are skilled workers.

Capitalism is actively destructive of skilled labour (tech proletarianizes everyone), but as automation abolishes X skilled craft it creates Y skilled craft. Populist "Leftism" refuses to see Y skilled class as workers and instead lines up with "traditional" capital's class warfare against it

And, as I've said before, "anti-woke" and ChatGPT are class warfare against "email jobs", MeToo, BLM, and working from home. Traditional socialists can't understand why capital has gone nuts about those things because *they* thought of them as middle-class luxuries rather than class struggle

This cuts in two toxic directions. The 1st is the Leninist direction that takes this assertion at its face & decides: “we are a superior class to the proles, & therefore must rule them.” The 2nd is the Bernie/Trump populist that thinks their teacher is the bourgeoisie but Elon is a worker’s champion
