how does that story about some gang leaders getting a deal to come to the US play into this story? I tried to google that crazy story (from about 3 weeks ago), and can't find it.

IIRC that was family members, not the actual leaders. Also Mexican, so probably not connected. Still a weird deal to make if you're supposedly so concerned about Latin gangs. www.cbsnews.com/news/sinaloa...
