“King Charles has worked hard to distance himself from Prince Andrew over the Epstein scandal , yet he’s going to dine with Trump, one of Epstein’s closest companions. A poor choice in judgment. He had every opportunity to step back from this visit. #Trump #kingcharles #ukvisit

I don't think he did to be fair. I'm no fan of Charles or the royal family but it's a constitutional monarchy. In matters of state he is told what to do by the government. I have no doubt that he's unhappy about seeing Trump again, and he'll minimise their contact like he did last time.

I understand he is obliged but in the light of things and in recognition of Trump’s despicable governance and the close relationship to Epsteine he sure should have put pressure on Starmer not to have to proceed.. perhaps he won’t feel well on the day ?

Well Camilla has already played her hand by missing an engagement today due to illness... maybe Charles should cancel his plans to support her? I'm sure they'd both be delighted to stay home. In terms of putting pressure on Starmer, the PM has the final say on any diplomatic issues. 😕
