But lunatics are the only ones talking about it. Pete’s saying conversations are valid and that there should be no federal regulation on trans athletes. Feels like a pretty ok thing to think? Don’t let the lunies define the issue and don’t let them control the narrative.

2 dem governors, Beshear and Waltz, have said that trans kids are just kids trying to live and be happy and adults should stop picking on them.

But conversations... aren't valid. Unless you're a sports official or one of the tiny number of trans athletes in the US, it's frankly none of your business and nothing you need worry about.

Imagine saying we don't need federal regulations on desegregation.

The conversations aren't valid, and saying they are is legitimising bigots.

Damn bro. Crushing anti evolution dummies was always so fun and validating when I was growing up. The debates here. 300 million dollars of anti trans ads during the NFL. You can either defend trans kids and explain the side. Or you can act like a pissbaby and lose to morons who define all sides.

Yeah if you don’t think trans kids are people worthy of civil rights

Neat, no ICE @m1garandalf.bsky.social

See now you're just being extreme. Nobody aside from Republicans says that at all or even thinks it.

Interracial marriage was illegal in some states until it was made federally legal in 1967 because of the same "we dont need to federally regulate it, let people decide locally" arguments. This kind of sentiment works for liquor laws, not for civil rights.
