Publicly funded elections!
This all day long, I will work my ass off for a national politician that runs on public funded elections!!
There is a reason she has lost every election she's been in. She should go back to Florida. Vote Jarin to replace Hoyer.
I have not seen where Jarin wants to repeal citizens united and or work on public financing of elections so....read my comment?
Are you working to help Jarin get elected?
Nope. I even supported Pam in the past when I lived in FL. She's not going to win this primary. But if she does she stands a good chance to win the general because Hoyers district is very democratic. But I bet you she wins by way less than Hoyer ever did. She's not a good candidate.
You keep saying thing about her past election experience. I guess you missed my point twice. I would help any national candidate that would do anything to get the enormous amount of debilitating money out of politics!
Just wait. Also the supreme court is 6-3 solid conservative and even at 5-4 they said citizens united was ok. Nothing legislatively or judicially is going to change this over the next term. Its a BS position because nothing can be done about it for at least 3 years.
This is a very lazy and self-defeating way of thinking about politics. You think the heritage fund just happened to accomplish all this this year? Get real. The Dems keep losing bc they can’t articulate what they’ll do with power and people like you are enablers.
Exactly, stand for what your constituents want and they will vote for you!
Its the realistic way of thinking about the system we have. Do you believe somehow in 26 if dems win both the House and Senate that trump and the GOP will work with them on anything? Trump has a veto and will use it, even if dems ram thru legislation. Our system is broken.
Im saying that the republicans made their campaign about overturning roe v wade since the 80s, and what do you know they got there. So the stupidest and easiest path is to say Dems don’t have to stand for anything (which, by the way doesn’t attract any voters).
The only way anything changes is if the democrats win a veto proof super majority in the hiuse and senate. That ain't gonna happen.
Again my point was to work for a candidate that actually has the words (publicly finance elections), come out of their mouth. Have you ever voted or even worked for a candidate that has lost an election? Are there standards that the politicians you vote for have to have? Mine would be, see above
You’ve convinced me. The Dems should continue to stand for nothing.
I didn't say that. But U have to be realistic in your expectations. Truth is if democrats win in 26 nothing is going to get done for 2 years. But thats a hell of a lot better than what is happening now. Nothing at this point is the best option. Its the way our system works, or why it doesn't rather.
You said it’s a bs position to actually advocate for things. That’s self-defeatism and a real loser playbook.
That's what primaries are for.
This person is not serious, they just talk.
Pam is real good at losing primaries for a reason. She's not very good at this.
