Happy National Wattle Day! A day to celebrate Australia and being Australian. But after the way some Australians behaved yesterday, I am not feeling it.

Happy Wattle Day! Here is a scanning electron microscope image of wattle pollen I made a few years ago.

They're so good! I loved having access to several when I worked in the industry.

The wattle is out in Gippsland and looks magnificent. Our local magpies are nesting and I look forward to meeting this years babies.

Time to remember Monty Python: This here's the wattle, the emblem of our land. You can stick it in a bottle, you can hold it in your hand.
