It's both. Rich, deep, intricate, sometimes infuriatingly slow. But since you know the outcome in the first five minutes, it doesn't need to be a page turner. Well worth it.

The great thing about the first paragraph revealing the murder and who did it is that by the time the event occurs you’ve kind of forgotten about it and it hits you again!
