Well I actually didn't say it will not work, but i do not see how it can with so many people hoarding guns. Most criminals do not get them legally and kids are definitely not getting them legally.

By restricting the ammo! If the only ammo ppl can buy are rubber bullets it will quickly diminish the mass shootings. It will take time (as ppl already have real bullets) & the sale of bullets would have to be restricted literally overnight (stop hoarding).

Not sure if you saw my earlier post. My late husband and I used to (years ago) say guns don't kill people, bullets do. Of course it is ultimately people but wouldn't it be great is the could only get rubber bullets.

No, I didn't see your earlier post. IMO many people are coming round to the idea that real bullets are only needed by hunters & the military. If the laws were changed & only rubber bullets were available it would take a few years (for vast change) but surely it's worth a try?
