Some people think there are more important issues right now, but I think they couldn’t be more wrong when it comes to humanity’s need for a moral correction

They lack systemic thinking & think everything is its own “bucket” when things are actually connected. Humans also largely resist change, because change is work and admitting one was wrong. Many ppl won’t. Denial is a strong defense mechanism.

It think it takes a great deal of humility to go vegan, because recognizing and accepting how unwittingly wrong we previously were is an unavoidable part of the process

Agreed. By focusing on the victims (the animals) and not just ourself-(we are not victims because we chose to change our behavior)we have to think what we gain vs what we are changing in our life. It is the release of the “me me me” thought process. Sadly many humans really only care about themself
