Took my over 3hrs to settle on a hotel in Philly. Say it with me class "anxiety can kiss my ass".

I'm sure you picked a good one. There's lots.
It sent me to a mental health hospital for a month last year, gotta control that sucker
A- that's terrible and I hope you're on the mend B- I'm attempting to. Finding ways.
Thanks. Doing much better now, but it was definitely a scary time. Beside being on the right medications and other medical interventions; understanding what we can control, practicing mindfulness, breath exercises, therapy, meditation, journaling, all are helpful CBT/DBT techniques
Oh well, you prolly made the wrong choice, lol.
Lol maybe. Probably. It's possible. More than likely
What manner of things will you be doing here? Many great choices
Focusing heavily on historical sites. The food, of course.
Lots of both, scattered all over the city and out into the burbs
Deep breaths and a shout of woohoo. You did it!
Haha I DID but now I keep going back and mapping it compared to destinations. I'm avoiding looking back at other places
I think this is the place I found when I was in Philly a while back. Had some spicy seafood hand pulled noodle soup that was incredible: www.nanzhounoodle.com
Dear lord I just checked the menu... man my list is expanding. Hopefully more so than my future waistline
Let me add one more for you yelp.to/hol6EiuajJ
Oh ffs lol 😆 thanks
I think you’re gonna need a bigger stomach
I'm pretty positive of that. Just need to walk more than drive. Try and equal it out
It’s very walkable!! And you see more of the city as you walk.
It was so easy to walk around Philly when I was there. I also splurged on one of the hop on / hop off tour buses which was honestly great
Where are you staying and how long are you there?
I don't want to post specifics bc some people are koo koo but I'll say west of Reading Market. I'll be there half of next week.
Mmmmm. I'll gain 10 pounds there if I don't walk. Lol
But that's ok. Don't worry about those other places. Just focus on the important parts which is getting around to where you need/want to be. Oh, and celebrate the victories. I hear Philly does a good breakfast!
Omg I want breakfast, I want cheese steak, I want a pretzel, I want to go to Bassetts. Then all the architecture and historical sites. I'm trying to focus on all of that.
The mutter museum was really interesting Didn’t make it to the Edgar Allen Poe house but wanted to.
I'm really hoping to get to the Poe house. The mutter museum?
muttermuseum.org
Well there's another to the list. That looks unbelievably fascinating. It looks as if Poe house is still closed for renovations. Site reads "check back in late summer for dates" but nothing else. Disappointing but still plenty to do.
Oh my God, the mutter museum is not to be missed. For real for real
Yeah I'm a bit surprised this never crossed on my radar. It's so me.
You should make a check list and see how many you get through. It all sounds amazing. Are you there long?
Oh I am a nerd for a good checklist! Already have one started. As well as an itinerary but things always go way off kilter 😆. Four days. Should be sufficient time to get a satisfactory amount of things under my belt.
Sometimes you can ask for 1/2 a sandwich (or order 1 meal and split it). Leigh and I do that and that way we get to try a little of everything. 4 days sounds like fun. I hope you're enjoying your time there.
Oh definitely doing the sharing option. There is absolutely no way I could handle that many days with large heavy meals. The naps needed would exceed the time there 😆 I'm not going till sun. So today is going to be spent on one of my favorite things: LIST MAKING
Fun. @themotleybeast.com is gonna be your bestie with that. Lol. Not me. I'm all like... Hey, that Greek, let's go!
I make the list, I bring the list then I get distracted by everything and find a dozen other things. It's not a terrible system lol but it's mine.
*sympathetic noises
