Agreed but they should have known Trump wasn't going to do anything to stop the killing in Gaza either. Say what you want about Harris but she isn't an actual Nazi like Trump is.

Agreed, but I'm tired of people trying to deflect blame when the Dems ran a terrible campaign. You can make the factually correct utilitarian argument that Harris would be better than trump, but that's not a great response to the moral argument that the Biden administration was complicit.

My hope is that if anything good comes of living under a authoritarian regime like we are now is that when it ends we decide to make major changes to our entire system. Stripping billionaires who enabled this of their power would be at the top of the list.

100%, the problem is getting people to open their eyes and see it. I'm a bit of a redneck that moved to the city after high school. We desperately need to find a way to break through the rural echo chamber. Fox News has done a massive amount of damage to this demographic.

I can't disagree with that. I think another problem was that too many people just don't pay attenion to what's going on. If they did they would have known what a disaster Trump was. Maybe Harris wasn't the best choice but again she's not a Nazi like Trump.

I think that we're both preaching to the choir. I voted for Harris and encouraged those around me to do the same. I don't think that you're dismissing Biden's handling of Gaza. I just want the finger to be pointed in the correct direction. We need better Dems if we're going to get out of this.

Biden should have cut off all aid to Israel. At the time he was still thinking of re election and as soon as one show's any animosity towards Israel the propagandists pull the anti Semite card. I think many would have accepted a, "I'm anti Zionist but not anti Semite" statement from him.

That was never going to happen, Biden is an avowed Zionist. Harris should have separated herself from this, but to be fair to her, she had to run an incredibly short campaign. There wasn't time for her to develop her own platform. Not having a primary was a critical mistake.

The situation was fucked from the beginning. Without looking it up I do remember Biden saying in 2019 that he would only run once. If had stuck to that, things may be different. Face it, we have been living in a quite dictatorship since the Gilded Age. Now it's in our faces.
