Does this apply to Republican voters? Because they’re in an abusive relationship they refuse to leave.

That depends. Did they choose the relationship, or were they born into it, growing up thinking it was normal, indoctrinated from their very first breath? Have they been threatened, intimidated, or punished for thinking for themselves? Have you ever been abused for decades - or more?
