I love making baby food from scratch. I feel super fancy and accomplished as a mom AND I get to put basically everything in a high-speed blender to reduce to a slurry.

Or you could just chew it up and spit it into your baby's mouth...π€ͺ Like the birds.
My daughter has the baby food steam blender kit, my granddaughter seems to love food from it--excepting avocado--not a fan yet.
I LOVED making my own baby food, too. Do you have a hand food mill? Came in so βhandyβ after steaming peas, blueberries, etc to remove their thin skins.
Weβve been using a high speed blender β It makes the skins goop.
Every night up until midnight with almost all of it from my trees and garden. He says he doesn't remember but I do. And a little silly song to go with every spoonful. Now it's the cat's in the cradle but that's just life.
Will It Blend: Parenting Edition
Huh, yeah, I could see that. I just hate cleaning blenders *way* too much to be willing to make my own blended baby food.
Iβm kind of fascinated by baby food blending as something someone actually wants to do rather than being pressured into doing though! Itβs cool how diverse human experience is.
The key is to do it right away after use, pour a small anoint of boiling (hot) water, PUT THE LID ON and run the machine, then an additional rinse under faucet seals the deal. Now, do I do it? Mostly, since I hate washing the blender and the juicer. π₯
Pea and kale smoke: breathe this if you want
My mom use to do it for us and she was born in 1931. And she got me doing it when my baby was born. Remember you can sweeten anything w seedless datesβοΈπ₯¦π πππππππ₯ππ₯π₯
I used puree techniques for my dying cat, he was 19 and so frail from old age. All his teeth fell out. He "drank" chicken and beef until he fell asleep one last time like an old man in 2011.
Make sure they're getting foods to chew on too. Chewing is important to develop facial muscles and bones correctly. Offer long strips of chicken/steak or raw veggies along the soft mash and let them gnaw on them.
Iβll never forget the time I did this with potatoes and made a nice glue/paste π
I had so much fun making baby food!
HA, I remember that feeling. Now the baby is soon registering to vote. Where did the time go? Unrelated - the bokeh in your profile image made me stop in here. I really just wanted to mention that I think itβs a fabulous photo.
