If the choice is between newsom and a republican, who are all fascists, then you would be. Even if the only thing your vote does is mitigate harm, choosing not to do that is choosing to increase harm.

seems like a wildly unnecessary framing of the argument at the moment. arguing over whether or not someone would support Newsom in a hypothetical 2028 election is a complete waste of time

I ran out of energy to coddle americans when they elected a fascist AGAIN and he kept threatening to invade my country. You have ONE job, and that's getting rid of the fascists. Saying "i will only get rid of fascism under X circumstance" can go fuck itself.

we can't even get people to agree that Trump represents a type of fascism that is far and away different / worse than the status quo in the USA. you are putting the cart before the horse.
