It’s perfectly valid that the House & Senate Minority Leaders & the 2026 DSCC Chair haven’t rushed to endorse a DSA candidate running for a local position, that is not federal, who has a voting track record that includes voting against a ban on ghost guns & cyber exploitation, with MONTHS to spare.

I doubt most complaining about Gillibrand know or care solely because she’s a Senator in that state. Didn’t rush to make an endorsement & everyone magically forgot her work on paid family leave & anything else. Meanwhile my Gov nom endorsed & it’s been used against her & downballot candidates since.
Booker has been harassed daily for not endorsing despite NJ’s ongoing Gubernatorial race being more important on his list of priorities. They’ll still freak out about an ambassador vote he did in May that he explained though while ignoring my other Senator’s also-irrelevant Noem confirmation vote.

I get that their populist savior is never going to be president but neither is this candidate who isn’t legally eligible. But I guess that’s part of the point. If he even wins this race he’ll never have that full pressure even if he ends up winning & does well & goes into Congress or Gov eventually.
They’d have a recurring talking point of “We’d be better if this one guy who can’t be president were president. Dems suck for not changing the constitution.” for life instead of repeatedly turning on any populist woman any time one decides to work with anyone else who is actually part of the party.🤷♂️

He’s gonna need to fix this to even get that far tbh. Kornacki had tweeted out a breakdown thread after results came in that included this. Leader Jeffries’s hesitancy to endorse isn’t based on a whim. He still has constituents to represent as a Rep himself.
Those numbers do not predict the easy victory I keep getting told will happen in that race. Man... That's why they keep demanding the Dems leftists seem to love to harass most (Jeffries and Schumer) endorse their guy.
