Thank you for this reminder of a president who offered hope. Certainly not perfect but who knows what more he could have achieved. And a sad reminder of one of the few days in my life when I can say ‘I know what I was doing when…’

Everyone who was alive, over age three, when this happened knows exactly where they were. My parents were in the eighth grade and they remember exactly what they were doing. 🥲💔 Such a great loss to humanity. I remember exactly what I was doing when I found out Princess Diana was killed.

Agreed. I was age 12. My others are Blair‘s election victory, Princess Diana‘s death and all that followed, 9/11, and the death of our queen. And I was visiting New York to watch the election of your first woman president at the Rockefeller Centre.
