Food isn't expensive. Water isn't expensive. Even power isn't expensive. Mega-rich bosses demanding gigantic profits are expensive.

Amen!
Indeed. Profits* are the roots of most of the misery and evil in this world. *Homophones may apply.

They've taken all their wealth and instead of building anything new or useful or meaningful with it they have instead interposed themselves between us and the very necessities for survival and jacked the rates up through the roof. They should all be facing criminal charges.
Here is an oldie to remind people to protest safely. It also mocks birthday boy who wants another parade in homage to himself. I think it would be worth the drive to DC to be able to turn my back on his funeral procession. Maybe "Good Riddance" on the back of a t shirt. youtu.be/HSvQT-tkiBw?...
And the proof of this is the obscene amount of money these companies have sitting around to bribe public officials and Trump ( personally) to keep prices high and remove regulations.
Greed.

"With your generous donation, you can feed this child in Africa for only a dollar a day... But for you, American, that will be $12.95 each for breakfast and Lunch, and $18.95 for dinner."
Yes. 100%. Resource scarcity is a lie. Food, water and housing are accessible and achievable. There is no shortage aside from artificial scarcity and profit.
Housing isn't expensive either. A small 500 sq foit basic home can be built for $13,500. A lot less than a car. Why can't we give loans like they do cars? The US used to have tons of mobile home parks. Lets do a lot more.
Agree
First it was,"the supply lines", but paper products ( toilet paper, paper towels) never returned to pre-pandemic prices. Then it's "the tariffs" as coffee prices shoot through the roof, but why did creamers also go up? Do creamers also come from Brazil & Colombia?
And tariffs.
The biggest union in the country was made redundant by the orange THING.

If you have USS George Bush money, you have "water and food" money.

Price gouging and the fucking import taxes. Then you take away the workers which harvest produce and work in meat plants and places that raise livestock and work on dairy farms and yeah we end up with expensive ass food.
