Correct, they can’t just do it themselves, but that doesn’t remove the onus from them to stand up loudly and call/fight for all of it. if they can’t even do that loudly and emphatically then we get nowhere for sure. Again,

I do like Pete bc he speaks well and meets people where they’re at, with respect and intelligence. But I just don’t see him pushing far enough/hard enough to fight for the level of change we need. But trust me I’m also applying this level of evaluation to any/all others that could facilitate change
