Couples who walk around holding hands, why? No seriously. I usually avoid physical contact with my husband in public bc who knows who is going to bash your head in. But for the straights or braver gays, why?! Seems annoying and sweaty

I hate having reservations about holding my husband’s hand in public because of potential for hassles or violence. Because I love him and like touching him. It’s like kissing: it’s what many people who feel connected do (Beach walking when we lived a block from the beach brought this home to me.)
We do sparingly, more often not than we do. Just not our thing I guess. Also I hate you need to worry about it.
Doesn’t holding hands release good chemicals inside your body/brain? That’s one reason to do it if that’s accurate (which I believe it is)
A lot of times my hands are like holding a squid
Because love? Ofc have some situational awareness, don't obstruct a sidewalk etc as was mentioned. I'm holding my girl's hand in public. I might even raise it up to give it a kiss after we make each other laugh.
I hate it too. You become a traffic obstruction. Now you’re delaying the flow of traffic on sidewalks. Are you happy?!
My wife and I hardly touch in public. Maybe be a hug if I am dropping her off at the airport. We also dont call each other pet names like babe or hun...
I wasn’t that guy for a long time but my partner and my hands are the right length and I enjoy it… maybe it’s endorphins? Maybe it’s Maybelline. Side note - If you don’t live in a walking city where does this even apply? Shopping malls? Grocery stores?
Idk wher3 people do this in rural palces or the burbs but im in a walking city most of my day so it applies
Rural Murican - it applies while randomly walking in nature. Just don't hog the trail and obstruct others. I would be mortified holding hands while buying milk though 😅
For some people, yours truly included, touch is our love language. Holding hands is a small, innocuous gesture of connectivity. It's sad that you seem to feel like you can't hold your partners hand in public because some people are small of heart and mind. Fuck em. Do you, without apology. 😉
