I had a friend over for lunch this week. I made a cheese board quick while I can still afford European cheese.

A long narrow wooden cheese board on a table. On it are: Prairie Breeze cheddar; half a Honeycrisp apple, thinly sliced and arranged in a feather shape; Spanish sheep’s milk cheese with rosemary, cut in sticks stacked like Jenga; little rolls of Jámin de Bayonne; rainbow carrot sticks; a Spanish cheese with ribbons of red pepper; Blenheim apricots; Chèvre d’Argental; dried Montmorency cherries; quartered dried figs; Saint Agur bleu cheese; candied pecans; and a few squares of dark chocolate. Around the board are a few sprigs of fresh thyme and little clusters of red grapes. To the right of the board is an oval stoneware platter with various types of crackers. Part of a stoneware bowl of baby greens is visible at upper left.

As the friend who came for lunch, I can confirm it was delicious! We should do it again, and not just because you make a gorgeous cheese board. 🙂
