The most prolific question I see asked every year is “when can I pick this cucumber?”. Well, you can never pick a cuke too early. It’s actually my preference to harvest them younger, cause I hate large seedy cukes. They taste better too IMO. You can however pick one too late. 🌱 #gardeningfeed

I’m currently playing chicken with my first couple cucumber and summer squash. One day too late and they’re mostly seeds, but I’m always convinced I can tune it perfectly to get them as big as possible and still good
Agree. I think the overly large ones taste sour.
