Yeah, the notifications bell at least gives you it in real time. I must admit, I usually stick to my Following feed. Don't forget though, this place is only a toddler. Plenty more to come yet hopefully.

I found the more I used it here, the better it got. The moderation is great. Look at the convos we've had on here today.. No trolls or bots, nothing. It's refreshing.

I'm not keen on the whole you can be added to blacklist thing either. I got added to a zionist list which I most certainly am not. And some other vile lists.

T everyone that I've the bell on for in the other place is here too, and cross posting. But I probably see three of them... And I've got them all on my list. It just doesn't work well enough.

I really like it here. Whether it's because it's not Xitter or what, I don't know, but it has a lovely atmosphere. You can actually chat here & use it as social media, rather than a hate filled battleground.🤷

You can really tell the difference if you step back onto Twitter for an hour or two. It's like escaping from a toxic family then peering through their window.

I deactivated for a couple of weeks last May. When I came back, I was shocked how bad it was. The bots, abuse, trolls, the crappy algorithms, it was almost unusable & a tsunami of hatred. I didn't realise at the time, but that's where the seeds were sown for me to get out. Who needs that toxicity?
