No, not new just more visable because more people see it now. Hypocracy has always been the Christian organizations way. Look at old nunneries that killed babies as they was born because evil single mothers, Or took children because the native population wasn't Christian, or raped imprisoned womem.
Although much harm has occurred in the name of religion, I’m not of the mind that all Christian organizations are the same.
Christian organizations work the same as large organized religions with little accountability they are far to often corrupt. The true outliers are those who are not & hard to find. I have nothing against being religious or Christian I'm Christian. My problem is large powerful religious organizations
