I'm a follower of Joe Ely. He is a Texan who I saw during the Outlaw Country days in Austin. The Clash were hanging out there and Joe Ely became a close friend of Strummers. In Should I Stay or Should I Go, there's a spanish counterpoint verse that Ely sang. He toured and sang with that tour

no problem. My ex-wife went to High School with the guy who played the Sheik in the Rock the Casbah video. It was filmed outside Austin during those days. Those are Air Force jets that fly over.
