Sometimes I wonder if I should upload there again, but then I get reminders like this of Instagram's enshittification. I only still use the app because I keep in contact with an old friend there, and some favorite artists upload there who forgot Bsky exists.
it has a long tradition of making the external internet browser version work very poorly compared to the mobile APP version where the user has less control. but possibly if you like using mobile doohickeys it will give you better function, information and access than it gives me
Sorry, when I said "app" I mean Instagram in general. I use it on web browsers too. Checking both versions just now, I noticed on my PC it's not showing what post was liked as you said, but the app still shows it. Maybe the latest changes haven't rolled out to me yet on Android.
i presume it is INTENDED to show the post, and it simply broke, but since it only broke in the version that meta would less prefer you use, fixing it is not a priority.
