A teenage female friend of my daughter walked past a group of ‘protesters’ outside an asylum hotel a few days ago and they shouted lewd comments at her. These gross men are the same ones claiming to ‘protect our women and girls’. Disgusting. @charlottechurch.bsky.social @davidolusoga.bsky.social

Using conviction rates seems like a terrible basis for the statistic too. In the US, only 1 in 1000 sexual assaults results in a conviction. Even if the UK is 10x better at convicting, how much more likely is it that an immigrant will be aggressive prosecuted than a local?

Perhaps Zarah should rethink welcoming transphobes like Adnan Hussein and Mark Serwotka to the ranks. We cannot support a party that promises support for trans rights one minute, then turns around and does this.
I'm glad high-profile women are calling out right wing lies that migrants are a threat to women that they're protecting us from. Also wish they'd call out trans-hostile activists' lies that trans women are a threat to us, which justifies revoking their human rights. Both are inextricably linked!
