I have seen some medical doctors speculate that that type of bruising is indicative of a repeated IV in that location. They are not alternating hands b/c then he would have to hide both hands.
On the other hand, I doubt doctors would keep using the same hand for IVs if the veins are that fragile but I’m not a doctor
