My friend, 50, has Parkinsons & is applying for Medicaid; she can't work & is now uninsured. She's not wealthy, yet can't qualify until she demonstrates she has spent down her modest savings acct. (she has no assets & lives w/mom). What a scary leap of faith. Now GOP wants her to work 20 hrs? How?
My father also had Parkinson’s. He went through the assisted living scam, lost everything and turned to me for support. Medicaid gave him the healthcare he needed at the end of his life. But by doing so, Medicaid also saved my family, my home, and my job.
I am so sorry about your Dad. 🙏 Cutting Medicaid is not going to make America great (GOP vision is so short-sighted)
