Similarly, even though the economy was doing better under Biden, the media kept amplifying that voters didn't feel like it was and didn't push back or explain it clearly ("But the price of eggs!!!"). Data can't win over vibes when someone is making money from those vibes.

Trapped in the 70s frame of cities being bad, country being good. Instead of boldly saying "hell yeah cities are great," which is the truth. Cities are great. Fun, dynamic, high energy.

That is the one thing the GOP has been consistent about since Reagan - painting Dems as elitist “takers” who are not from “real American”. Dems always resort to defense. They need to go on offense and hard.

Democrats can win on crime and immigration if they try. They win on economy and health care. They most surely cannot win on anything that even remotely reeks of "wokeness", not because the underlying principles are wrong, but because, sadly, it is suicidal in the present political environment.
