There is no "humane" way to farm someone 🐐

A former dairy goat farmer, dressed in a wool hat and warm clothes, holds a young goat tenderly in a dimly lit barn. Her eyes are closed and her expression is one of sorrow and affection. A quote overlays the image: *“If you look into their eyes you can see the fear, and the abandonment. You’ve loved this animal, and then you’ve sent them off to this horrible death. So I can’t imagine ‘humane’ and farming going together for raising any sentient being. The words just don’t go together.”* — Cheri Ezell-Vandersluis, former dairy goat farmer.

dairy farming also means the heartbreaking separation of mother and baby over and over, and breeding them for profit to produce tons of milk at the cost of their health, so i don't know how dairy farmers can love their victims at all. we don't need to use the poor animals.

Who knew that the word "former" had such power and could bring a sense of relief and gratitude so great that it brings tears to the eyes.
