More than you get from a diet of leafy greens, less than a pound of steak every night. Tofu is a complete protein, which makes it an important part of a plant-based diet. Tempeh was another. (Ex-wife’s first son went vegetarian at age 3 for two years because cows are cute.)

Most people eat too much protein, including vegans. The Myth of complete protein has been debunked endlessly since it was thought up in the 70s.
