I’m aware, that’s why I referred to it.🙄 He was convicted & I assume served his time. I’m not excusing his crimes, past employers or any personal failings, just that it’s not relevant to the new role.

Pragmatism ??? What he did was appalling & illegal & showed a complete lack of care or respect for the victim. And Starmer wants someone like that in his team? I don’t want ‘pragmatism’, I want morals. In many jobs a criminal offence is a huge barrier. In Comms it should be a complete no-no.

I want someone to improve the Labour govt comms. He’s not on Starmer’s “team”. He’s in the civil service which has strong rules governing activity. If you judge everything on a moral purity basis then you won’t get much done. If he illegally publishes another picture I’ll admit I was wrong.

Wow. You really are showing your true colours. The man did something not only illegal but very distressing for the victim. He should have known what he was doing was illegal & very distressing for the victim. If he didn’t, there’s no excuse. If he did, there’s no excuse. He can get a different job.

Can’t you imagine what’s it’s like for an abuse victim to have it all raked up again, the pain & the humiliation and for anyone to see your picture is in the paper?? To know that it was you, when you might have kept it secret even from your family/friends? Or don’t you gaf?

He was convicted and paid the price for it. Of course I have empathy for the victim. But the whole point of the justice system is to resolve these things and allow people to move on afterwards, otherwise we may as well just put all criminals to death. He won’t have chance to do it again
