Same here, except my partner (in home hospice for COPD, 78) and I (COPD and due up for surgery for stents in my carotid arteries, 75) are the ones being screwed and sentenced to death if that happens. If I can't get that vaccine, I will no longer be able to care for him.

Everything is so awful. I'm so sorry. For everyone who is now at greater risk.

A short term suggestion from *NOT a medical pro*: I'm mildly immunocompromised and I get the COVID vax every 4 months at CVS. No one at my insurance is questioning the type of immunocompromise to my knowledge. I'd suggest anyone (who can) get revaccinated on this schedule until we can't anymore.

That's a good plan-I generally wait until deeper into fall, when I get my flu shot. I have asthma and I work in customer service, in contact with hundreds of people from everywhere each week.

I tried. CVS and Walgreens are refusing to schedule COVID vaccinations because they're awaiting new guidelines and the updated 2025-2026 vaccine. Which it now seems like we'll never get.

Dang, that stinks. My last booster there was less than a month ago. In the last couple of years, the new vaccine was available by now, though. I wonder if primary care physicians are still administering it.

It seems to really vary state by state. In WA the pharmacists say "we can't diagnose you and you can't self-attest that you have a qualifying condition, you need a prescription from a doctor."

Tell me about it. My last one was Sept '24. I've been begging my doctor for the past 6 mos for a re-up scrip b/c I'd pay OOP if I could just go to CVS and get one but I can't. She finally authorized me & I got re-jabbed yesterday. I'm sure my chart now says I have "COVID anxiety" or w/e.

Do you have insurance? If yes or no, what does it cost you? Thank you

Yes, and preventative non-travel-specific vaccines are 100% covered on the last few plans I've had.
