Any kind of blood thinners (statins and aspirin) make the blood flow faster to pass narrowing arteries due to plaque buildup, especially with a high cholesterol count. That faster flow of blood makes you more susceptible to bruising.

But this kind of damage seems to be more bruising from an infiltrating infusion needle, not a hand shake. Never saw this on Queen Elizabeth -- and she did way more handshaking than Trump will ever do -- until she was in heart failure towards the end of her life.
Shake hands with someone and look where their fingers and thumb are. No way are those bruises from handshaking.

Statins do not affect hemodynamics, are not "blood thinners." They lower cholesterol
