I think you may be taking seriously a post that has nothing to do with Taylor Swift but in fact is a joke about the incessant having of superfluous opinions on social media.

I'm very conscious of the shallowness of social media. I am always stunned that even here, in friendly confines, 6 out of 7 trending topics will usually be sports and celebrities...you have to "follow" more serious folks to get to actual news that matters...
