Denmark, one of our staunchest allies, that lost more soldiers, per capita, supporting us in Afghanistan than the USA, no lonfer trusts us. Hence the pivot to a European weapons system. Hey, US defense contractors, how do you like trump now? Biden got you respect and business; Trump got you distrust

Well, recently we bought MQ-9B Skyguardians and seems like there will be an extra 16ish F35s and ammo on order soon. Hence, we’ll still buy American if needed - at least for a while⛓️‍💥😅🥹

Please don't! The European defense industry needs to ramp up quickly, and diversify across the EU (avoiding Slovakia, Hungary, and maybe a few other places?). You're used to right-wing parties, but they seem to have about a 30% ceiling. We have blown thru that, and recovery may be difficult😱.

I get you, and yes, it must. The thing is that we are already implementing the F35 and for a small nation it seems way too costly to opt for a second platform now. Further, right now the Skyguardian has no real competition and we need the capability yesterday. If feasible, we buy European - and 🍎
