I get that you find trans people icky and don't care about what happens to them, but maybe consider that all of the other minority groups that you begrudgingly tolerate can see this is a man who will turn on any group at the slightest sign of pressure, and how that doesn't inspire confidence.

The social contract is like due process - it's not a 'single issue' thing in this day and age, it's perhaps the ONLY thing. Any carve-out from due process or the very social contract itself (trans people) inherently proves anyone can be carved out.
