People love to argue this point, but you rarely ever see anyone argue it isn't, so thought I'd say nuh-uh to that. Well there you go, a little treat for you.

Prometheus is a Christmas movie.
I mean, it was released in July. It was a summer blockbuster. But the novel (Nothing Lasts Forever) is specified as a Christmas set story, and the setting (Christmas Eve) of the movie supports it. But the release does make it a summer hit. 15th July.
Then neither is "It's a Wonderful Life", it is a movie about a man going through depression and wanting to end his life...and it's set partly around Christmas time.
My argument for Christmas Songs is "If you can play it outside the Christmas season & it not feel weird, it's not a Christmas Song." (Ie East 17's Stay Another Day which is great but could be played outside Christmas fine IMO). I think that logic could be applied to movies to disqualify Die Hard.
This is *excellent* logic, thank you.
I genuinely agree. A Christmas movie must have themes associated with Christmas. Die Hard is just a movie set at Christmas time.
But it is, though
just bringing balance to the force
OK, but we can agree that Violent Night is a Diehard movie, yes?
Someone had to say it, and you're the only person brave enough
Any movie is a Christmas movie if you try hard enough.
Any movie is a Christmas movie if you Die Hard enough.
👏😆
😂
Oh no, my subtle wordplay has been deciphered!
I won’t let you take credit for it!
It's nice to finally have someone else saying this 🙏
i mean i don't really think it is i just like to say so cause it annoys people. Even if the movie has a christmas party as party of it's setting it doesn't really have christmas at the forefront of it's theming
