You can buy characters separately or with the season passes. The season passes also include exclusive character colors if that's something you want (they're also cheaper anyway so.)

correct but there's also some DLC for character colors which is kinda annoying. I guess they're usually part of the season passes so it's kinda fine but if you get stuff separately you gotta get those on their own if you want em

Correct! No mtx, but DLC for characters, stages, colour pallets and season passes for characters. There are some colours that are fomo motivated that you get from buying DLC packs, but it's pretty much a non-offender.

4 seasons adding extra characters and stages - usual modern fighting game stuff. Meanwhile you amass in-game coins by playing matches and clearing modes, which you spend at the fishing pool to unlock music from previous games (game's got a nice jukebox) and funny clothes for your cuboid avatar.

No micro transactions. A decent chunk of the cosmetic unlocks are via a gacha system but you can't spend real money on it. Pull frequency is from playing the game normally. No dailies.

No rotating store or anything. There are a few pallet swaps that were included in season passes that I think are purchaseable separately? But that's kind of standard for the season pass? They don't do like "limited edition skins" or anything like that

Street Fighter technically has micro transactions but it and most fighting games I play it's just buy the game and then buy the season passes for new characters or buy characters you want individually.
