I was just thinking, yesterday: "It's good that he's fighting Twitler, but we shouldn't forget that Newsom was personally dismantling homeless camps just months ago. He's not entirely on our side."

He's barely partially on our side. He's on his own side, and that side is against someone who's against us. The enemy of my enemy is a potential asset in some situations as long as he keeps attacking my enemy and I prepare for his suddenly inevitable betrayal.

I'd say he's not at all on our side. It's a fascistic show of force and an attempt at a power grab.
