Nightmare 2 is one of the like 4 or 5 movies from the franchise that are actually worth watching. It's such an oddball movie, and it actually has the scariest Freddy.

Nothing beats the original and first Nightmare on Elm Street in my view.. I thought 3 might have been okay too as horror sequels go as I remember.. but when things get super ridiculous it's time to stop. Not that I obsess over horror movies, I prefer thrillers with intelligent story-lines.

I uh... I gotta disagree on it being the scariest Freddy. Once he jumps out at that pool party it feels very silly.

Pool scene is also a top scene across the whole series imo.
