As someone with nerve issues that make my reaction time too slow to play the games this is inspired by, this is really promising and I really appreciate you making it. I can finally get the "feel" without getting stuck one or two minutes in because I'm too slow.
Wow, that's mighty kind of you to say! I'm glad it's looking like something you might enjoy. It is genuinely intended to be turn based -- it can be played quickly, sure, but everything depends on player action so you have all the time you want.
I didn't realize it was why I couldn't beat games as a kid - never finished any of the Sonic or Mario games, couldn't figure out why other kids could. Tenths of a second lock me out of /so/ many video games. So I really appreciate when something goes turn-based.

Oh yeah, it does sorta have that look with the impact rounds compensator upgrade on it. Originally, it's design is a bit more based off of the Red Faction handgun, and slapping a targeting indicator screen on the back.

Oooh, that looks sick! Is there controller/Steam Deck support? I've got dyspraxia and can't really do realtime games with M+KB, annoyingly.
It has *some*. We've got aim assist, and controller bindings should work, but it's definitely something that we're still polishing. Steam Deck optimization is also on the docket after the Lore n' Vania update. It'll work, but there are areas with pretty rough performance.
