Yeah, it's a pity. The whole older generation hypnotized by propaganda, hate & lies over a generations. The younger generation don't seem to fall for the propaganda & lies and would apear to be anti war from what i've seen.

There are many Russias: the white one from the West, wealthy, apparatchik, corrupt (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, ...), the one from the countryside, poor and abandoned, the Caucasian one, separatist but subjugated, the Muslim one, the one from the eastern republics, and ... a powder keg that’s ticking.
Yes, I would be thinking of the younger generation from Moscow/St Petersburg that no longer want war. Outside of these 2 big cities, Russian people are quite poor. I do see videos of them asking VP for help not seeming to understand that VP is the root cause of most of their problems.
They have a tacit pact with Putin. We don't interfere in politics, and you ensure us security and relative well-being. They are raised on a diet of political indifference. There are dissent movements, but they are violently repressed, and this is enough to discourage most people. shorturl.at/n3iK7
Do you think it can last much longer? Putin/russia are starting to fail on the "security and relative well-being." bit.
1) Russia disintegrates 2) Russia maintains the current attitude 3) Russia moves closer to the West. I lean towards the second. The system is controlled by a well-established circle ready to replace Putin. The economic collapse is not imminent. Russia has many resources and is resilient. Sadly.
I would hope for option 1 to give it a chance of being a normal country, unfortunately as you say option 2 is the most likely option as they are used to bypassing sanctions. Option 3 at the moment will never happen. Thanks for the answer.
