You are parading the exception around as if it is the norm.
You are parading the exception around as if it is the norm.
Homeless people being drug addicted and “unable” to work isn’t the exception. It is the majority situation.
No it isn't dumb fuck
Hey, fascist. Why are fascists always so goddamn dumb?
Truth is that there are a whole lot more people who are homeless that don't fit your narrow trope of a narrative. There are plenty of homeless people still holding onto jobs and working extremely hard to hide their true situation. Not every homeless person is sleeping under a bridge or in an alley.
No..there are SOME with that story.
and if they actually prefer living in tents doing drugs, we'll find that out when they turn down/fail the housing and other supports they're offered. this really isn't hard. you're just full of excuses.
You and yours just believe in rainbows and unicorns and socialism. People have had to work for a living one way or the other since the modern age. They didn’t get to just live in nice houses and get everything for free. My assertion is that even if housing was cheap these people wouldn’t step up.
shut the fuck up asshole
lol what are you five years old? jesus christ this is weak shit
Your assertion is not based on any facts.
Plenty of folks are hiding their homeless status by living in cars, on couches and in shelters. Some are single parents, or veterans, or victims of domestic violence. But it's so much easier to dismiss them if you can view them as unworthy. Which says more about your shortcomings IMHO..
one of my students disclosed homelessness in an anonymous exercise and I do not know who it was even though we've been interacting all term. I'm not trying to figure it out because anonymous, but I also really have no idea who it is (but some idea who it's not).
Exactly. There are people who hide their struggles, which doesn't mean they aren't struggling. Some people can't get past their stereotypical image of a hobo. When they see someone that fits that image, it cements their narrow views. Except the person who rang up their coffee might be homeless, too.
it's the availability heuristic. the most visible homeless people sleep rough and are often also the ones who are openly using. but that's only the tip of the iceberg. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Availab...
Where’s your evidence of this claim?
fuck off into the sun with your lack of evidence to support this evidence-based assertion. research on this topic exists and is prolific. absolute fucking bigoted clownery.
You lose. Go be emotional somewhere else. 👋
Ah, yes, nothing says “logical, well reasoned argument” like simply declaring yourself the victor because the other party used a naughty word.
You spelled "Disabled" wrong you fucking jackass.
Again, only in your weird, prejudiced imagination. The reality and the evidence don't support your fevered rantings
