Even taking the EU’s balance of internal power into account, submissively bowing to US demands like this is embarrassing. I wouldn’t be surprised if the UK did it because, since Brexit, we’re an irrelevance on the world stage these days. But the EU bloc is meant to be able to stand up for itself.
