LAN parties. Used to hook up a bunch of Xboxes to a network and have some epic multiplayer Halo matches. Gamecubes could also be networked for Mario Kart, but we didn't do this as often

I used to lug a full size desktop PC with monitor to my friends for LAN parties. Warcraft 1&2 + Unreal Tournament were loads of fun and worth the effort.
